It tries to mirror revivalism and innocence.
In this painting love and its challenges are the topic on focus. A lady is waiting, probably for a lover who
will not come. She is sitting and waiting, maybe for a lost and unrecovered past. She waits with an never
ending patience. Who knows if someone will come...
I use one of my favorite techniques and materials: collage and Victorian motifs.
All my paintings from the Retro Baroque Collection try to deconstruct the beauty and perfection of
Victorian drawings and turn them into a certain imperfect and decadent atmosphere.
